We finally got power back on at the house around 8:30pm on Saturday. WOOT! I called the house to just check on dad while i was at work and he was sooo thrilled about it. He said he had the TV and the Computer turned on FULL BLAST. He sounded as happy as a little kid in a candy store/toy store/Chucky Cheese/etc. I was really happy for him. He said "They must have known it was my birthday tomorrow!"

Yep. Dads Birthday is today. He is 73 years young and still growing. :D

So i've been literally snowed in since the 27th. Twice though, i was able to get out of my holler around 2 or 3 and get to the store for food and supplies and then RUSH BACK HOME before the roads started to freeze over again...not fun. We were totally not prepared for a blizzard. It's worse where I live for the main fact that we live by a river, and we are so far out there that no one really cares to plow our road. If cabell county schools are closed...then we're not going to be going anywhere. The bus runs out my road and if it isn't going to run, it's not going to get salted or plowed. It's the reason for my insanity these past few days.

Yesterday, however, I got out around 2 pm and ran to my friends to stay....and even then, STILL I got snowed in AGAIN today....man i have no luck ♣. At least here I have electricity and internet to do my work. I feel REALLY bad about leaving my dad at home (alone) and without electricity...with the dog non-the-less... We're not supposed to have our electricity back on until SUNDAY! ::sigh::

He does have heat though and plenty of non-perishable food items that i had braved the ice covered roads to go out to get. To beat this all, Tomorrow is my dads birthday. -_- What a happy birthday huh?

Check out the images below of the roads i took with my cell phone. I texted them to facebook so i could have them when i got internet back...and this is when it was safe enough to walk on the roads. NOW they're just sheets of ice.

The only upside to getting out of my house to my friends is that I have been able to get a lot of work done. I've actually over done it i think...Link

Okay, Marshall totally doesn't take in consideration anyone that lives on the back roads. I am so so sosooso close to gathering up everyone that lives "out there" like i do and also has to attend classes at a university and making them consider some roads "excused absences" for bad weather reasons. Its just not fair that i am SOL no matter what because Marshall doesn't care that i live in the boonies (not my first choice i assure you) This is making me loose money, time, and will ultimately lower my grade by a LETTER grade for every day unexcused past two days ....Lame.
On another note. Yesterday was Mike and my 6 year, 7 month anniversary. we ate at Chilies..yum
I don't have much to say ATM. its 7:24am right now, and i need some more needed sleep. Night.

So, classes started back today. Yay...

Well so fare they've been good. Ill let u know by the end of the week how i think things are going to go. In the bright side of things, i've had the time to upload some of my work to my PORTFOLIO site. yay! So go check out the CLIENT gallery. That's about all i've worked on.
